I am never trusting Beneful dog treats again. EVER again...
Luna had an allergic reaction (I think) after eating the treats; she had diarrhea, was puking up blood and bile, and couldn't keep anything down. And so I took the day off today to watch her.
She was extremely lethargic all day, lying down in random places, and not moving for long periods of time, save the random leg tremors she kept having. I was extremely worried; so I called the vet. She told me to keep an eye on her and monitor her bowel movements, as well as her attitude. And so I did.
She pretty much remained the same; until I took her for a quick walk to the mailbox. While there, she started trying to take a poop, and started bleeding from her anus. Delicious. Worried, I cleaned her up, and called the vet again. She told me to continue monitoring her over the day and night, give her water regularly, feed her if she feels like she's hungry, and take her in to the clinic tomorrow if she's still not better.
Well, to my pleasure, (and I'm sure, Luna's as well), she's back to her normal, lovable, puppy self, and is slowly regaining her appetite. But, just to be safe, I'm going to drop by the vet tomorrow to have her checked quickly.
P.S. Sorry for worrying any of you/disgusting you with the details, but I'm trying to get into the habit of posting journals more often now.
