I've got it back at last! My PC is purring away quietly and flawlessly. A good quality new power supply unit was put in and Windows is properly activated. As a bonus, JB HiFi had a special on Wacom Pen & Touch Small tablets, discounting them from $158 down to $118, and since my really old tablet won't work under Win 7 64-bit, this will make a nice replacement for my long-neglected art when I finally get around to it again. Anyway, I can let my laptop rest now. It did a fantastic job in place of the desktop, but I'm glad to be able to get at the rest of my files again.
