So I'm sure everyone is familiar with micky39 and his creation of the Sergal species, and everyone knows he's the copyright holder for that species and the creation of the idea. So here's what is currently troubling me, I have a species of my own that I'd like to release to the public to use for free if they want to, but I want everyone to know that I am the original content creator of that species before I release it so no one steals it and claims that idea was theirs. How could I accomplish this without someone or some people stealing the idea, I know I have to copyright it, but how could I copyright the idea and have everyone know its my original work at the same time?
