KH2.8 HD Remix: The hype continues

I'm sure a lot of you have heard about Square Releasing another HD Remix for their Kingdom Hearts franchise and I know a lot of people have the same sort of reaction that most people do whenever they hear anything about Kingdom Hearts. "MAN SCREW THIS FRANCHISE! IT'S SO CONVOLUTED AND STUPID AND SPREAD OUT AND I LOVED 1 AND 2 BUT SCREW EVERYTHING ELSE CAUSE WHO GIVES A HOT DAMN." Which if you're a fan like I am just sort of sounds like a lot of whining for the sake of whining, especially if you know about the other "Remix" titles that came out recently. If anyone should be complaining it's really the people who went out, bought the original games and struggled playing on multiple platforms just to finish the story that's been released so far. And this isn't bragging rights either, that was probably the worst thing about this game other than trying too fucking not get destroyed by Sephiroth on Proud Mode. It was annoying, frustrating and at times you really did want to give up if you weren't good with certain button configurations and what not.
But a lot of people don't really understand what these Remix titles are. For one thing you've basically just saved a shit ton of money not having to buy all three games that come on the disk. 1.5 and 2.5 provide you with three fleshed out games, some that were incredibly important to the plot but others that filled in the cracks. There was new animation, cutscenes and even information in these re-released titles that people who played the original game didn't get to have when they busted their asses on it. And this next title 2.8 isn't just some re-release circle-jerk to hold fans over, it's to make sure that you are completely caught up on what's about to happen in the next big title and it also means that while there is no release date KH3 is actually on it's way and will be released sometime late next year (hopeful) but again this gets people ready for the big fucking finale and prevents anyone from going, "What the duce?" The thing I'm mainly talking about is 0.2 Birth By Sleep which will tie up all the loose ends if you've beaten the game to 100%. Lots of big questions go unanswered and they mainly revolve around Aqua and now we get to see what's actually happened to her since 10 years have passed.
Do I wish we could have three just be this massive fucking thing? Of course I do. Do I want it now? Hell fucking yes, more than anything in the world! But it's not as bad as people make it seem. A bunch of games have overarching storylines that go back and forth between worlds and stuff. FOR GOD SAKES LOOK AT THE LEGEND OF ZELDA but of course people aren't going to say anything about that because they've been on one console and the story isn't a "cohesive" one. But that's what makes KH so fun and honestly so revered as the franchise that's really stood the test of time. It's like the movie "Memento" things happened out of order, you slowly went back in time and forward in time to piece the clues together. You don't know what's happening or why and questions pop up but slowly you start to see the connecting lines and by the time you reach the end you're just screaming with joy because it all makes sense and you ready to the protag to just drop that bomb you've been waiting for since the beginning and it's just an amazing wrap up.
So if you haven't played any of the games past 1 and 2 then I'd advise you pick up those Remix titles if you have the chance and actually sit down and play all of the games not just the ones you loved because if you're not willing to give those games a chance then you're not really committing to the story. Why? Because those games are still fully fleshed out games not this DLC crap some people think they are.
