Actually I kind of agree, though it feels bad to say it because I dont really suffer the consequences.. other people have it much worse.
Its like the ground turns into waves (maybe at my house the effect is softened because of the ground where its standing, on other places they say its much more shaky, less wavy if that makes sense) Its quite overwhelming to feel such strength moving under actually. On 2010 we had a much stronger earthquake, 8.8, but it was at 3:00 am so most were pretty asleep

They dont really scare me, at least not when im at my house. To be in a 10th or higher floor would be a different story of course, but i havent lived that.
But yup, personaly ive got kind of used to it, or at least i force myself to stay calm.

I'm glad you're okay! I've been in several quakes, the biggest was only 6.8. Was really weird because the ground was wiggling like a water bed, very slowly up and down. I've never been in a quake that shakes, luckily.

Thanks! 6.8 here is not much, but i believe the infractrusture affects a lot in how strong it is felt. Exactly! Here in my house it feels like a slow water bed too, but i think that can vary depending on the ground youre standing. On 2010 here, there was an 8.8, and many people said they could barely stand up.

Yeah ours was pretty small, but we live on the Pacific coast so we always hear that we are supposed to get a huge earthquake at any time, but these are always unpredictable things. I can only hope I am close to food and water in my car or home if anything happens XD. Glad damage and loss of life is minimal!

Yup! Food and water was the biggest problem on 2010, it was a disaster, all markets closed, and, as it was the end of the month most people didnt have enough to keep themselves for a week. If you prefer to stay out of the house, make sure you stay away from cables or light posts, they can fall or start a fire.
They are really unpredictable, they can know where preassure has been accumulating, only not when its going to be released.

This time there were only 5 deaths or so i believe. On 2010 pleople died here because of the tsunami mainly (genious goverment told people they could go back to their homes in the shore). Aside from that most people die of heart attacks, or because their house/building is standing on bad ground :/

very glad you're ok! I live in CA, about 15 miles from the San Andreas Fault, sometimes it feels liker we're just waiting for The Big One.
I kinda miss quakes, honestly. They are kinda fun, but I always sleep through them ^^;

Yup Ive heard from that big one that is supposed to happen there, lets hope not though
I guess its true, not when your house is the one falling down though, so it depends how much you lose there :/ Im lucky I live on a good zone in a strong house

It will happen, the question is just when and where...
It is most likely not going to happen close to me, but, it's most likely to hit Los Angeles. that will be a disaster of almost unheard of proportions, when/if it hits.
