I just learned today that my grandfather is back in the ICU for his blood clots. There are three in his lung area and one in his leg, worst of all, they can't operate to remove them. He's coughing up blood and in a lot of pain.

I'm currently trying to find a way to go and see him because we're 90% sure this is it for him. Currently, flights are over $200 one way, I don't do buses, so my uncle, stepdad, and myself will be driving. We're hoping that my uncle has room for both of us in his truck, and if not we have to rent a car to drive that far. I want to be able to help out with gas, I can cover my food, that's no problem, it's just the gas.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to go but right now everything is in the air until my aunt gets there to figure out what to do. If it's fatal, I WILL be going, no matter what. This man means so much to me, I want to be there in his final moments, even if it's just to hold his hand or tell him I love him. He was more of a grandfather to me than anyone else, and I'm not even blood family. He always let me stay with him on trips to FL so I didn't have to get a hotel.
