I just got news down the pipe that the fandom is now one convention smaller.
Oklacon, one of the largest campground-based conventions in the fandom is no more, by order of Oklahoma State Park Association.
From what I hear, two furs decided to get naked and try yiffing in front of the portable restrooms last year, in front of everyone. They were subsequently ejected from the con and banned, and charges were brought against them, which meant a legal incident report had to be filed for the parties responsible for the state park the convention called its home. Fearing liability, the park overseer decided not to allow the con to return this year.
Apparently while the con staff were in negotiations with other state parks, one of the banned furs called the Oklahoma State Park Association and told them about the incident. As a result of that, an edict was passed down banning Oklacon from every state park in Oklahoma.

There is another Oklahoma con called Wild Nights, that is also outdoors and in a state park, but they are on such good terms with their park manager, that the Oklacon ruling does not appear to endanger them.
Also there are plenty of other outdoors cons. You just have to keep an eye out for them!
