Rainfurrest time!

Rainfurrest is coming this week! Woohoo!
I don't have the time or enthusiasm to punch out a fancy Rainfurrest meme, so here's the plan:
- I will be at the con!
- I will be rooming with
wbwolf as usual!
- I will NOT be taking on the writing competition this year. As much as I enjoyed it the last two years, I decided I'd do something else this time around to enjoy the con rather than spend most of the first two or three days hiding someplace with my laptop.
- Therefore, I will be volunteering in the art show, and spending my time there!
- Yes, that makes total sense.
- Big news: I have TWO stories being released at Rainfurrest! "Crimson on Copper" is appearing in Inhuman Acts, while "Come the Storm" is part of the Rainfurrest charity anthology (the general-audience one). Both of those are a) being released at special events, so check those out, and b) available at the Furplanet booth in the dealer's den. I also have two other items available from earlier this year - "Distant Shores," in The Furry Future (Furplanet) and "Bears, Repeating" is in Heat #12 from Sofawolf Press. So... go buy my stuff. Lots of it. ALL OF IT!!!

Brainstorm hard when you get the theme, and don't forget to work with what you know. Last year I was blanking hard until Wilford reminded me that I'd written several fantasy stories and I should revisit one of those worlds. Boom! Instant concept.
Don't worry too much about multiple drafts, unless you write REALLY fast. Get it on paper (figuratively, anyhow), polish it and submit it.
Mostly, have fun exploring your abilities. I love the feeling of accomplishment when I drop a fully formed story into the bin in under 40 hours. =)
