So, I got it back from geek squad, after they told me it was too old for them to do anything about it. So I decided to take it too my dad, since he's an electrical engineer and he said he could open it up and see if he could figure out what the problem was. So I drove it over to his house, and literally all he did was press the power button and it turned on. Even though before, no matter what I did it wouldn't respond at all. It's just magically fixed. He said probably what happened was either that geek squad did open it up and put it back at least a little bit, and that resolved it, or something got jostled back into place during shipping, or when it shorted out it just temporarily disabled some part or something that just needed a while to come back. We're not sure. But for now I have a computer again, so yay XD
