hehe. I was actually born in 1984 myself. And I can bet that to be true. Considering how big MJ was through the 80's and a fair bit of the 90's while Weird Al has been around a long while as well. Weird Al's still got it going! But I guess being a star for most of your life like Michael Jackson can really take it's toll perhaps. He never really had a 'normal' life. Probably why he's so fucked up now. heh. But hey. Though he's an odd guy, at least he's made a lot of good songs in the past.

Who knows. I think MJ was abducted by aliens sometime after recording Thriller and was replaced by an alien impostor...

Of course, if you'd also said that "computers will be small enough to have one in every home" you'd also have been laughed at.

Or that you could eventually have a computer/stereo/telephone in your pocket, you'd never have believed it.

I remember when I was kid though, after seeing one of the first combination printer/faxer/copiers, I thought to myself that someday they would combine your computer, your TV, your telephone and your tape player all into one machine.
Of course, at the time, I was imagining some huge big box, but it turns out that I guessed right!

I only saw laserdisc once back when I was in elementary school. Despite it's 40 year history (patented in 1961!) it was so short lived.
