I'm becoming more interested in the furry fandom
10 years ago
So like the title says, I've recently gained more interest in the furry fandom. I've always liked furry art for a couple of years now, though I feel like I want to properly be part of the fandom. Since I lost interest in MLP:FiM and the Brony fandom, I think this will be a good replacement for it. Plus the furry fandom seems mostly nice, unlike a lot of Bronies that seemed a bit hypocritical, IMO. Hopefully the furry fandom will be more accepting.
I do have an idea for a fursona, and I will make it public once I can get some kind of reference for it. The problem is, my artistic skills aren't great, so drawing it myself probably won't turn out very well, or could take me a long time to finish. I might consider commissioning someone if I can't do it myself. I might also create a new FA profile for my fursona, and anything related to it will be posted there.
I also want to get a fursuit based on my fursona. I've decided I will definitely get one at some point. However, it will be an expensive investment. A partial would be nice at least, though a full suit would be even better. It's probably going to cost me at least £500 for a partial, or around £650 - 700 for a full suit. Another thing to consider is the amount of care and maintenance a fursuit needs to keep it in good condition. I will also need somewhere clean and safe to store the suit when it's not being used, which is impossible in my room in its current state unless I get rid of some other stuff first. I have some old PC parts that I might try and sell, as well as a fully assembled system. This should give me the money and space I need for my fursuit. As for the PC I'm selling, it will be a mid-end gaming system with the following specs:
Case: Antec 902
Motherboard: ASRock 970 Extreme4
CPU: AMD Phenom II X3 720 @ 2.8GHz (Can be unlocked to 4 cores)
RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz DDR3
GPU: MSI Radeon HD 7850 2GB
HDD1: Maxtor 160GB
HDD2: Seagate Pipeline 500GB
Optical drive: DVD-RW burner
PSU: Corsair CX600
It should be capable of running most newer games on at least medium settings at 1080p. I will start it off at £400, which I think is a reasonable price for a pre-built custom PC like this. There will be no operating system included, so you will have to get that yourself. I will let you know when the PC is ready for sale. Also postage will be limited to the UK only due to the size and weight of the system.
Anyway, I'll see how my fursona turns out when I try drawing it or commissioning someone else to draw it for me. I look forward to participating in the fandom more. :)
