Yeah : 3 Fur is quite versatile

Temperance (  Temperance ) is in my opinion the best fursuit maker for scalies.

Gonna lurk on this journal, since I'm curious in wanting a scalie one some day as well...

i agree with Dracc,  Temperance does awesome work...buuut I think  ArtSlave might do scalies as well

Definitely throwing in my hat for  ArtSlave - had my first suit, partial of Muzafr, made by her, and the quality and detail is amazing! Not to mention she's super cool to work with.

I know these troubles. My main character is a turtle hybrid so finding a maker to craft her will be a search across the universe. I've decided I'll take up suit making and try it myself maybe xD

But for other species I'd say temperance too, she does lots of different species/furs/fabrics and such. And beast cub does lots of species/fabrics/whatever as well! I haven't looked into their reptiles much but if you're up for it maybe look into getting a blank from dvc or another artist? Idk lol. Otherwise none ring a bell atm. Good luck!

I think you could make Scampi even with a semi-realistic looking suit. Get the shape right and the detail of the scales isn't really important.
And then, of course, act like a doofus. :P

For what you want you probably want to be looking at  Midori8,  Temperance, and  Takumori. Each of them can hit the toony or lmore friendly looks you seem to want.
