Sadly, that's what's to be expected in early stages of games.

Just checked my area cus the swamp area runs right through my location. Only 2 dinos are alive. Working on just giving them away cus why bother with no home. xD

Remember feeling the same way myself when Starbound had its big UI update a while ago. Three months worth of mining/upgrading/exploring/modding down the metaphorical crapper with little to no warning.

The real kicker was that they didn't actually "wipe" anything. Instead, they opted to simply wall all my old user data away into a file that the game couldn't read any more. In some ways that was even worse than having it erased.

Needless to say, it was a very long time before I was able to even so much as look at the game again, let alone play it.

I'm so sorry this happened to you, unfortunately the same had happened to me but I didn't lose nearly as much as you but the thing that hurt was losing all my sharks and plesiosaur... Aquatic bases kinda stink anyways. I do hope you can return to the game eventually, either with a huge update(that isn't this of course) or with release! But too be fair, it was with little warning as you said, they gave a map to indicate where the biomes were, but it said my area was out of reach, and I'm sure you would've read that too. But sadly, it started way sooner than it was supposed too and ended later, basically causing nothing but grief to people that thought they were safe...

I'm sure it'll be fun tho whenever you can recover from this. I can offer hugs too but that's about it. ;w;

Another thing is that I can recommend going onto an Unofficial Server if you were on a Official Server, besides the fact either experience or taming rates are MUCH faster, there is little to no lag. (and if you were in Single Player, the closest thing to recovering is cheating w/ admin console. ;w ;) I wish the best however from now on, in any game or in ARK. ♥

Ouch, that's certainly rough. I admit similar was always the part I disliked when any major update was added to Minecraft since in most worlds I explore pretty far trying to find areas that look unique and usable so I'd have to restart with any major updates.

If you play on a single player server just give yourself all the stuff back. If you play on a private server talk to the admins? If you play on an official server, well sorry to hear that :/
