PvA options Im thinking about.

Few things bouncing around my head with PvA. Two ideas which I wanna throw at you guys about PvA. Basicly about what overall to do with it.
Both ideas focus on making a little money for the monster project I have in the making. The problem you can see though is that I can't sell PvA as is due to it being Pokemon.
Idea 1 is to open a patieon account and donations to me, rather then paying for the game itself.
Idea 2 is to change all the character species to original designs. As to not invalid copyright and be able to sell the game. Would need more work then idea 1, but I wouldn't get in any copyright trouble.
What you guys think? Anything to say on these ideas?

What I think you could do with a Patreon to incentivize it would be to post updates on it (such as early previews to patreons, etc.).
Still though, not sure what else you could do to fund the project outside of Patreon, seeing as how Big Nintendo would get anal over it x:
I hope this comment helped. But either way, it's your decision, but redesigning it would take the P out of PvA.
but will the game still be free to play and download?
Patreon is a better choice, give the donators a good incentive, and nobody has to worry about Copyright either.
Anywho! Half the reason I like pva is cause it's a super unique pokemon game X3 Though seeing a bunch of OC's would be cool, it'd be a little harder to connect to them, I think.
Also thank you, your avatar is cute too. :3
Oh. Another idea that just came to mind, although you'd probably want to limit it to only a select few higher payers, could be getting to have their pokesona (or fursona reimagined as a Pokémon) appear as an Exstroy or NPC in the game.
Also, maybe Tommy would be better as a naga than Mark. Since he's already reptilian, and plays underwater, perhaps a naga/serpent would be a good fit for him. Of course, you'd know better than me. I also thought something like a dolphin could be fun, but most aquatic creatures would restrict him from ever doing anything on land.
Yeah, adding people's Pokesona's may not be as good of an idea. Already tryed adding some people after I released the demo. Was mostly a headache. x.x
Also, could Patron be setup to let donaters know when I'm streaming? Could just throw Stream on when I work on it, but not wanting a crowd. So I can stay more focused.
As you know, I would love to do a aquatic creature level. Such would allow more prey to be nommed without being as slowed down as a land character. The way I see with Tommy as a croc. He gets the best of both worlds. Heck, Tommy's water levels are basically an Ecco rebuild. Although, I'd love to have Tommy's stages be like the PS2 Ecco game. Loved the idea for the controls.
