Streaming issue! Need help for the wedding!
General
I've been spending a few months putting together the components to live stream events. Particularly my wedding which is coming up quickly. I'm very close to having this to 100%, with only one last issue I'm running into. The short version is that I can get the input from the microphone out to the stream, but cannot simultaneously get the microphone to output to a set of speakers for those at the event.
Without further ado, my setup - Audio input - Microphone Input - AKG Perception Wireless 45. Standard wireless microphone and receiver. Audio board - Alesis Multimax 4 USB FX The receiver and the board are connected with an XLR cable and the audio board is connected to the computer using the USB setup.
Video input - Camcorder - Vixia HF R600 Capture Card - Startech.com Part #PEXHDCAP (PCI Express Capture Card) These are connected with a mini HDMI to standard HDMI cable.
Output - Audio receiver - Pioneer model VSX-1021-K This is an older receiver, and is connected to my computer from the speaker jack on my computer to red and white component ports.
Computer - I'm using Open Broadcasting Software as my primary streaming software. I'm using Youtube to stream to. As for the rig, I use Windows 8.1 as my OS. Motherboard - MSI 870A-G46 (MS-7599) PSU - AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor 3.40 GHz RAM - 8 GB AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series HD - 1 TB - WDC WD10EZEX-00UD2A0
If you have any other questions, please let me know. Hopefully I've given enough about my set up.
What I've done so far: I can get both the audio input and video input to stream live through YouTube. This gives me no troubles at all. More recently, I added on speakers so that I could play music at the wedding simultaneously. I can also easily get the speakers to play music from my computer. The individual parts work fine. What I'm trying to do now, is get the input from my microphone to simultaneously go out through the speakers as well as the stream. I have attempted to just use the microphone through the computer and out to the speakers without any music playing, and cannot get that either. My issue is that I'm relatively stumped as to what it could be. My initial thoughts are that the input of the microphone from the audio board (Being a USB connection) doesn't get translated to go out through the analog port of the speaker jack on my motherboard. My issue with this is that the audio receiver doesn't have a USB in port and I have not had a chance to find if my audio board can transmit to my computer in a different way other than USB.
What I'm hoping to find is someone who has experience in this who can say "Hey, I ran into this and solved it by doing this." With the wedding this weekend, I don't have much time to experiment but I'd love to solve this last piece of the puzzle!
