I say do what every you want. But if you half to ask me my opinion, I go with both. :3

Or you could see if adding some of your friends? Just an idea

I'm sure most are willing, problems come from the shared cost aspect. It's hard to expect people to pay on demand. I sometimes try to work out a trade or just gift the image if they can't afford it, while being clear they should not expect that commonly... Putting both your characters in some art together dose sound fun though haha
