All things being equal

I will avoid naming names, for obvious reasons, but there are certain artists in the fandom that have been accused of plagiarism, and as such have threatened to take their entire account down because of it.
You, sir or madam, are an asshole.
Not the person doing the accusing, but the artist. You, mister or missus artist, are an asshole.
You use phrases like "Done with this fandom" and "literally at my wit's end" (which isn't fucking literal, by the way) but we all know you're just looking for attention. You're crying to your mommy because someone on the playground called you a bad name. You just want your fans to go "No, no! Everything's fine! you're a great artist! We love you! Here, I'll buy a $200 commission to make you happy!" When really, your art isn't even that fucking good to begin with.
Artists deal with criticism on a daily basis. Weak artists try to ignore it, but the strong ones actually CRAVE criticism. They use it grow as an artist and receive feedback for their work. They work every day to create better artwork than before. Weak artists decide that they're happy with their current style and rely on their cult of personality to reinforce that ideal.
When you say "I'm leaving the fandom" because someone treated you badly, it comes off as childish. Like a child taking his ball and going home because he couldn't score a goal in a pickup game of soccer at the park. You're crying for attention, and it's fucking annoying.
If you can really leave the fandom because you can't deal with criticism, you clearly misunderstand what "the fandom" actually is. Furry isn't something you can just turn off. You never stop loving Rescue Rangers or My Little Pony just because someone insulted your art. That part of you that loves furry art and content never really leaves. And if your love of furry media only exists BECAUSE of your apparent acceptance in the fandom, maybe you should leave, because the fandom doesn't need people like you.
I love furry and TF content. I will always love it. Even if I were to delete my FA account, I'll still love it. I'll still watch shows that contain it, and I'll still seek it out. You can leave the furry fandom, but furry never leaves you.
Some of my favorite artists, who act professionally and avoid silly fandom drama:
gillpanda
aggro_badger
sabretoothedermine

For some people, it can be easier to feel threatened. Not excusing those that act upon it, but it can be difficult to think rationally in circumstances like this. I fall into this trap a lot, though I'm not an artist.
