Advice on video recording software?
So, I want to start uploading art vids to youtube again, but I need some advice on video recording software, and on top of that, video editing software.
Now the ones that I've used:
Camstudio- it's...okay for being free. Not the greatest, and the video quality leaves a lot to be desired. I have had problems with it in the past, with it doing this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jzYAoZwR_M
Action- I only got to use this one for a short time, so I don't really remember it
HyperCam- it leaves an ugly watermark and has horrible video quality
and as far as video editing...i've only ever used Movie Maker from windows. I loved the version on windows XP, but I hate the newer version
I don't mind having to pay for it (anything below $40 for a commercial license, since i do plan on monetizing the videos on youtube), I just want to know what's good and what isn't before I buy it (or even download a free trial and waste my time)
So, opinions, GO

FA+

OBS is best, it's what I use to Let's Play with, do need to make some setting adjustments with it though because the default ones leave videos looking like poop :p it's fine after tho

If you're on a desktop with an Nvidia gpu you could use Shadowplay in desktop mode. It's very easy to setup and use in the process.
Fraps itself isn't terrible at all, but to run it well you need a strong computer as fraps likes to use a lot of CPU power so many laptops and desktops can't really run it well.
I'll have to look at DxTory
I have an AMD quad-core with 4gb RAM, so i can't have anything TOO resource heavy, as photoshop is heavy enough as it is
