Still no job.
They let me go in that Monday to pick my stuff up, so I now have it and it's all ok. No job yet, had to turn one down that was 18$ an hour because I would have spent four hours a day on the road back and forth to it, in rush hour traffic. Would leave no time for anything but literally 'get up, go to work, eat, sleep' What's the point of a well paying job if you can't do anything at all but the job?
Fortunately, the Kelly recruiter understood, since he used to live near where I do now, and said he wouldn't want to do it himself. Anyone want a live in roommate? For room and board I'll provide all the cuddles, snuggles and oral you can use, plus 'other duties as required'.

Applied to another that was 18.95-24$ an hour... but it's in the same place. Which they didn't tell me until after I'd finished the application. XO If they offer me 24$ an hour I'm going to hurt myself trying to decide whether to take it or not...

That's a helluva good wage, ayuh.

Yeah, 200$ a day would be worth moving if I could swing it...

Indeed.

On a related note, what the catnip about '20 years of experience at technical support' screams 'insurance agent'? I've gotten five semi-legit (Semi because at least two of them came from qwikmail addresses with different names, but from what I've found in searches, they may be automatic email campaigns) 'offers' to call and look into being an insurance salestiger.
