I have something rather serious and personal to share.
As hopefully most of you know, I am a game design major. I'm also a senior, meaning that this year I'm taking a two-semester long capstone class. This class is kind of the end-all-be-all project for my major, a time where I get to show off all my skills that I've learned at college so far, where I get to collaborate with a team to finally realize our collective potential.
We had our first 'sprint'/milestone presentation today, and I'm having a hard time expressing just how proud I am of my team so far. Holy cow guys. I cannot find the words. A month ago I stood up in front of the class and pitched a very vague game idea about owls and caves, and now here I am, Art Lead of a team of twelve very hard working artists and coders working to make that game pitch a reality. It is no longer 'my pitch' but 'our game'. A small change but it means a lot.
Seeings how this project both means a lot to me but is also currently consuming almost all of my brainpower and time, I'd love to share it with you. Our professor is all about PR and media, so he's had us create a few accounts that will be updated fairly regularly with game news, concept art, and blog posts. If you would give any one of these pages a like, a share, or a follow and mention them to your friends, I would be eternally grateful.

Hue Vang did our animatic, his work thoroughly blows mine out of the water. It's a really unique experience to work with someone so skilled (he's actually a master's student and the rest of us are bachelors).
Glad to have another pair of eyes, hope we don't disappoint!
I did the same thing when I went to school for Video Game Design, but our finished product can't hold a candle to your WIP. My classmates were neither artists, nor coders, nor musicians, nor storytellers before signing up, however. I was the best artist, my teacher was the musician, and a couple of the guys learned to program well enough to get our game functioning, but as a collective, we weren't so hot lol. I wish I could go back to school and have a talented team to work with. It would've been nice to leave with something I could show people.
Is the music original? It's so lovely.
Our team/class is a bit stacked so Everend is not really an accurate example of the 'average', hah. Our professor's classes in particular are really tough so only the really dedicated people signed up for it. You get out what you put in though.
And yes! Our game will be publicly released on the PC at the very least, but we -might- also be able to release for the PS4 or the Xbox one. Not sure yet since there's a lot more involved in doing that both coding wise but legally as well.
Would be awesome if you could get it on Xbox One, but I'd still play it on PC!
Ultimately we own our work, the school is allowed royalty free access to it for 'educational purposes'. On Microsoft's end there might be a few roadbumps regarding the situation, as far as I understand.
