Am I a dick for refusing to take 24 cents less change then I should be getting IF the cashiers out of change (context: Dollar store) ? Two people in front of me said they didn't care, I asked if the manager could bring them (cashier) some change, Old guy behind me ended up paying what they owed after I refused to take less. I really didn't want HIS money though, but also didn't want to hold up the line anymore.
this is the Second time they ran out of change on me, first time i just let it pass. I did not get angry at the cashier, just asked how it made sense that she'd try and give me 50 cents instead of 75 that she had when i was owed 74. =/
I was mostly annoyed that the manager keeps letting this happen, maybe I'm wrong but I'm under the summation they should provide the tills will change. The way i see it if they do this all the time could easily be a few extra $100 the store makes regularly.

I think if it were me, I would have probably made a case of it if there weren't other people in line. But then, Wal-Mart charged me for 22 lemons the other day instead of the 2 that I actually bought, and I didn't even notice until too late, so with me being the scatterbrained fox that I am, I might not even have picked up on it.
That or Im going to have to start carrying change on me If i go there.
And that's where I always feel bad for the clerks because they're the face of the company, but they don't have control over a lot of those situations.
You see this kind of societal pressure elsewhere. "it's only a dollar", "it was only a $20 sketch", bitch, no. That was MY fucking quarter. You are a dragon, protect your hoard.
Use it to call someone who should care. Use it to call district or regional or whatever. This is some shady shit, and the manager should be canned for someone needs a job and knows how to run a shop.
