Hello, Everyone!
I stood there, not-so-humbled before the Keepers who had oddly, all gathered, which, by itself, would have carved a warning in my soul and, together with the news I brought, filled me with dread. They were all there. Not a one missing. With an invasion coming. An army was preparing and they sat there waiting to hear what I had to say. But who was I that deserved such things? "What news do you bring us, Veranda?" greeted Moqlin, an old female Snow Leopard.
Taking a moment to look at all of them and weigh my situation, planning to I choose my words carefully. However, in the end I determined that such an action was pointless, and I let a sigh escape my wolfish lungs in acquiescence "I had a dream." There was a silence. They were waiting for me to tell them why that was significant. "Of course, I have had many dreams, sure, but none like this one. Oh no. This one was special as is any dream one can remember once the light of day hits their eyes. Because in this dream I saw five wars waged across this world and another. Five wars which will shape this world and ultimately destroy it."
"So, a warning?" asked the same Keeper.
"No. Just a prophecy. I can see in your faces that what I saw cannot be changed," I replied.
"Is your magic so strong?" wondered Roi, a female rabbit.
I scanned her face and saw the genuine confusion in her eyes. "You have no idea. Which is just another warning to me." A Keeper, of all people, should be able to tell the strength of my magic.
"What of these wars?" inquired Moqlin.
In an effort to remember more clearly, I closed my eyes to see if I could make out the visions on the back of my eyelids. "The first is a war of magic and betrayal. Allies are coming, but with them, they bring destruction. Yet, turning away help is bad for everyone, but so is accepting their friendship. It is this first war that starts in motion the events for the following wars.
"Many others like me - us birthed in magic; we wise bitches; Witches of Great Power - will rise. And we will be instrumental in these wars. The second war will be between us and furless beasts from across the stars. A war started by Witches and ended by the same. But, before that, the world will be changed by the remnants of the first war which will lead to the birth of even stronger...artificial Witches. They will spark this second war.
"The 3rd War will be against Giants. The same giants we will fight in the first war, only stronger. They will come during a lull in magical power, but will be stopped by one with even greater magical power than I.
"The 4th War will be fought on a distant world by one who hates war.
"And her actions will spark the final war. The war that will divide us and destroy us. But then rebuild us. But, the world after this final war will not be Eden. No, the fifth war will destroy it. And the world left in it's wake will be sometime different altogether."
"How long?" Vila a fox wolf asked.
I smiled a wicked smile. "Do not trouble yourselves with things you will not be around to see till the end."
