I read that myself. Good read. It stinks that many of us find ourselves to be entitled.

*nodnodnod* I TOTALLY fell into the trap where it said "At this point some are thinking 'Yeah, that's true, but I really AM the special one.'" It's actually pretty freeing to realize OH- so it's not really an injustice that I'm not rich & famous- if I want those things, I have to work a lot harder. Takes away the frustration and disappointment, and replaces it with determination.

I dunno, I work retail/service and I'm reminded each day by my boss and the customers how I'm a worthless and replaceable cog, which is true, obviously. So, not too sure on the delusion aspect of the article.

Not everyone in our generation is delusional and entitled- in which case, congratulations! Because having a job where your boss and customers walk all over you is infinitely more infuriating and depressing when you believe you deserve better just for being you.

Of course you deserve better treatment as a human being- that's not what I'm arguing, just to be clear *hugs* ^o^

I do agree with some of this but I don't think every person of that generation thinks like that. In my case my unhappiness is more due to not knowing what I want to do instead of my career not going how I expected XD.

Of course not every bit of the info-graphic applies to every person of that generation, just like it also applies to some outside that generation too. But it's still got a lot of things that are applicable, like at the end where it says to stay ambitious, and keep your eyes open for the place that you can put yourself to work. :) Sometimes it's not about finding a job that you're "passionate" about as much as finding what you can do best, and really throw yourself into, to achieve success and support yourself in a reliable way. If you haven't found such a job yet, keep looking. ^o^

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm still trying to figure out what it is that I'm best at really but I'll take your advice to heart.

I gotta say, it had affected my expectations as well and what I experienced when I graduated from college, hunted for jobs, and settled for one that lasted for three months. Everyone in my generation is driven by this greener pasture thing. So much, it's an eat-eat world out there.

But before I delve into cynicism, I think the world isn't always roses and thorns. I realise that it's a fucking rosebush.

Heheh yeah... When I started getting rejected from basic retail jobs, or hired and then let go, because my post-bachelors' degrees meant they had to pay me more... I knew I was in for a difficult time.

The greener pastures thing is too true, especially the Facebook image crafting. Man... I am SO much happier the less attention I pay to FB...
