(update: i have another monitor so no delays wee)
for anyone who got worried, my roomie got two monitors, i forgot he just received one he used as backup too. but i can use it for the time being so it should be ok.
apparently the guarantee for my own monitor was for 6 months.
guess when I bought it? 6 months and 1 day ago... -.-"
so much for saving up for an actual tablet, i'm back to basic needs... wont stream for a few days because I'm in a terrible mood, sorry (will work just not on stream like most of the time)

FA+

great that there is the temporary backup though
i would have a spare monitor but dont think it has the kind of plug needed to plug into a laptop uu
guess that's what i get for trying to save a 100 bucks 6 months ago :/
(although it seems its only backlighting problem, that can probably be fixed)
Did you check the warranty from the company that made it? The minimum is usually 1 year but most makers vary from 2-3 years mainly, it is a limited warranty so they dont cover all damage types (sources) but worth a try.
If you dont know or want to save effort of figuring out if it's covered or not. Post it on their facebook and ask if its covered, what's not working and be polite. I've seen company's fix stuff that even broke just outside the warranty period, to keep up a good image.
It is well over it's original warranty time, this is a model made in 2005. I bought it from a re-seller who fixes old models and sells them with 6 month warranty.
It only has it's back-lights out, should be possible to fix in any nearby service, for probably less than the posting fees would have been even if this was within warranty time.
