How I can tell if I wrote something terrible:

Behold, I make noise!
I do most of my own proofreading and editing in early stages, but I like to give myself a break between writing, editing, and putting in changes. So a lot of the times I forget what I've done and get surprised by my notes.
Currently I have a page before me where there is more red ink than black. Judging by my handwriting I began to slowly lose my sanity somewhere around the 2nd paragraph. Eventually I gave up and started simply crossing out huge swaths of text while writing "BAD!" over and over again. Near the bottom there is a note saying I need to put in a completely new scene.
Apparently, I felt very strongly about this. Reading it now, past me is correct. This is going to suck to fix.
