To be fair, it's a rather complex and unconventional species which might make it less desirable to draw for some, but to just brush over you like that? Pretty damn inconsiderate.

I'm used to artists saying no...but most are nice and considerate. and then they say they can potently do it another time.

Just had a look at your "Bal'kar" it's a complex creature that's for sure, I can understand why they wouldn't/couldn't draw it but they could at least politely turn you down instead of ignoring you.

Just... wow... like seriously? People can be such dicks sometimes. You can't run a business like that are expect to stay in business. You can have amazing art but if you don't treat customers with respect you will lose them.

Maybe he just didn't understand the idea or concept man? Instead of confusing idea he couldn't grasp they chose a simpler one... Makes sense to me, this has happened to me as well and we talked about it later, I told the artist why they did that and they explained, they apologised and we worked out a solution. Instantly going to a "fuck you" doesn't make you look to flash either... Just ask them man, sometimes people get offended or confused and they may be worried to say why in case to offend you... I'm not taking sides but I like to see both sides..
