Happy Friday all! So tomorrow marks the official 1st anniversary of the Paw-Post (which started as the Paw-Mail). The first one (here: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6213933/) seems rather simple by comparison to some of the stuff now in them, but it's been a fun (albeit work-intensive) thing to keep doing, and has provided a lot of really cool opportunities to get to meet and know artists and people's characters better through the highlights. :) And as a fitting anniversary, today's Highlight was very enjoyable as it's a character (and the artist-owner) that I have loved for nearly the full 15 years I've been in the furry fandom. :)

Now... as of this Paw-Post, I'm going to start using the alternate links again for images as I've had a few folks mention they liked those. What I'll try to do is always put the highest quality link -first-, which... is never FA, ha.

I'm also going to start listing the "Open for Commissions" section as "Sales and Open Commissions" instead to broaden what is available; better suited to special offers like YCHs, paw-related items as well commissions.

I've also had some feedback about the footpaw classification stuff. I have a link to both the Weasyl and FA journals explaining it in the Legend (below) but some folks still ask what the classes are

Most Pawesome Picture

Why: Well first off, tricky choice today as there were two really good pictures. This one edged out a bit as it's more specifically about loving some feets! That giant lovely footpaw is Anyare's, and is being appropriately adored by Kyler. Look how happy he is! And wouldn't you be in his situation!? Wow... lucky lucky. And Kyler himself has some pretty spectacular footpaws too - not only different colours for each one, but very cool speckling. So lots of awesome paws here, and a great paw-centric theme.

I think Cari is powered by an infinite-paw-drive; she just keeps churning out this good stuff. :) So first picture has some paws-in-waiting for someone with some really creative Shibari work. Second one has a dragon riding a lovely wolf lady - her left footpaw looks really, really well done in that, and wow.... check out the flowing hair! That's beautiful - and pretty the TOTAL opposite of the wait hair looks when I attempt to draw it. <_< BIG paws with big toes on the last one.

This was the primary runner-up for Most Pawesome. Arg... and why it's sometimes SO hard to pick that picture. I LOVE this - even though this is not specifically about the paws with the characters involved (Aura and her mate) it's so, so sweet and tender. Aura is continually revising her techniques for drawing paws, and they are really coming out amazing looking here with very thick and well-defined pads and toes, and a digitigrade foot that is just spot-on for how they should look on a proper anthro. And like I said, it's just darn sweet.

This is Kileasa, who is very happily enjoying herself. Great expression in that it looks like she's partly into the moment, and also perhaps looking at someone just off screen. A nice view of both her feet here with the left one being the semi-transparent vale, and the right one in a beautifully done toe-curl to drive home the physical intensity of her activity.

The enchanting character of Hanna Thorne - a Canadian Lynx. Wow is she gorgeous or what? Beautiful flowing hair matched perfectly in colour to her pendant (which itself is just amazing) and of course... has exceptionally nice paws! I like that her paws are so big compared to her hands; if you've ever seen a real Lynx, they have huge paws to help them walk on the snow. :) Very nice attention to detail on Ermine's part.

Ehhh... was very torn on posting this one or not. As you know, I'm not a fan of foot-jobs and especially feet that are all messy with stuff. Character Summary/History:
I think I was born in the mountians near a desert. I remember seeing the stars so clearly every night. Mother tells me I was a quiet child (compaired to my brother, Rowan), always observing and shly sitting near whenever she and the pack were telling stories. Whenever I inquired about my father, her pride would fade a bit as she's always try to push the question away. Years later I learned he was quite special, though I never fully believed her till I met him myself. I suppose I owe my strange powers and long life to him, Sirius the dog star. (Sounds silly I know! Maybe he's just a powerful mage? He had me convinced for sure!) Still learning how to use them properly, but in this day and age it's not as hard as years ago! I own a small travelling shop, and enjoy wandering the world meeting new people and seeing as much as I can. Never really staying in any one place too long, I somewhat long to find the perfect home. Though this life is alright as it is! I'm not one to complain too much about anything. Just glad to be able to do and see so much in this life.


Some Q&A

(TC) Thank you so much for being willing to answer some questions. I have long, long admired you as a person - but perhaps the best way to start is a simple one - you're known as Gravewalker, and sometimes also Layra - can you explain the names?

(Gravewalker) Ah yes! I was dubbed Grave, or Gravewalker when I was small. Mother always caught me wandering off by myself, chatting with nothing. Nothing to her anyway, they were usually ghosts I'd tell her, and she humored me, giving me a hard nickname which stuck for so long I often forgot the name I already had. Layra has been newly remembered, I lost a friend many years ago and she gave it to me. I keep it in her honor.

(TC) The nature of this group and publication is of course footpaws - you have very beautiful ones; can you better describe them for everyone (pad type, softness, characteristics, etc)?

(Gravewalker) My thank you! *blushes* My paws are what folks seem to call "digitgrade", but they're rather wide, with four big toes on each that splay wide for balance as I run and walk. They're fairly thick for a female I'm told. I love to paint my claws (normally black) different colors, my favorite is gold! for how often I wander and travel you'd imagine my pads and fur to me harder, calloused or damaged. I often take good care of them though, using lotions to keep them soft and brushing the fluffy soft fur around my toes just to make sure that doesn't happen! I sometimes even pluck any stray white fur that sneaks in! *covers her face in embarrassment* I'm also severely ticklish! It makes me nervous even thinking about it haha.

(TC) Now... we know -you- have nice footpaws, but what do you think of them in general? Do you like your own, and do you have any attraction of feelings toward them on others?

(Gravewalker) I like my own of course! After learning how wonderful it is to have them massaged my interest has certinaly been much more than it was when I was younger. I'll happily return a paw massage favor as well! Hearing the happy and often arousing sounds that others will emit is a fine reward. Though I like how soft other mammals paws are, I find myself making awkward compliments to anyone of draconic or scaled persuasion. Especially if it's a large male!

(TC) So is there a particular favourite thing you like about footpaws - look, scent, type?

(Gravewalker) *blushes* Their skin is so textured and exotic, and I love how powerful they feel and look! And if their claws are large and well trimmed it's hard to resist touching them. Males (and females as well!) with strong, well traveled paws are just stunning to me. As far as scent, aha never been asked that before, when they're earthy with a light musk it's very pleasant. I'm not fond of socks oddly, having more feral paws with long fur I find them uncomfortable. But I've seen some furs pull them off very attractively!

(TC) One thing most people would notice in pictures of you is how caring and nurturing you are. Is that from your healer, mystic and witch-type background?

(Gravewalker) Aha it could be I'm sure! I've seen a lot of hurt in this world, and it's far more rewarding for me to try and help. I was also born into a tribe of mostly women, and they were close knit and powerful, so the role of caretaker was often shared with all.

(TC) People will also be rather quick to notice you are not shy about baring those beautiful large breasts of yours (and... I bet that has me blushing to say). Ahem... while my interest my primarily be paws, I have to say those are a second favourite, and yours are very amazing. Do you enjoy bearing them for people to see and appreciate?

(Gravewalker) Hahaha *gently laughs* Well that is true I suppose. My secret is out! Though I remain fairly soft spoken in words, I'll admit I like the attention at least a little bit. Though not for everyone I'd say, more like... for those who I'd know won't mind. It's also enjoyable being free from restrictive clothing! I'm not a big fan of wearing heavy clothes over my already thick fur.

(TC) And... while on that topic (and while I'm beet-red for asking) - there are a lot of pictures where your breasts are very... calming or nurturing in how they're being used by others. First off... I have to say it's very beautiful to see that portrayal. Do you find them to be something that others take comfort in?

(Gravewalker) I've been told I have that effect before, hence why I haven't minded indulging the few who've seemed to enjoy my ah...company. I'm learning they're something many folks find warmth and comfort in.

(TC) Curious question... do you think your footpaws could be such a nurturing thing to use for some as well?

(Gravewalker) Can't see why not! Though I'm not too sure how one would go about trying that out. I'm sure I'll have a client or friend ask me eventually.

(TC) Last question - is there anything you would like to say to the people reading the Paw-Post?

(Gravewalker) Don't be afraid to say hello new (and old!) friends! I know i'm cliche in saying it, but I enjoy meeting new folks! Uhm what is that quote.."Be Excellent to Each Other!" Haha!
