Pepsi Perfect (BTTF-Related)Has anyone seen the Pepsi Perfect that has been mentioned in rumor to be on Store shelves in regard of the BTTF Anniversary?
LED LampsLED Lamps are some of the best light sources a person can have since they use less energy and put out REAL white light instead of that horrid Yellow glow. I have been rather curious if anyone have any experience in finding any LED lamps that are affordable.

the pepsi perfect was a limited run of 6500 bottles in the US only last i heard and was gonna be about the price you called for it. the bottles went up for pre order last week and official release was on oct 21 2015. i don't believe pepsi sent any cases to any retail stores they were order only. each bottle comes in a design container similar supposely to the old movie and also they each come in a collectors edition box.
I wanted one myself but i live in canada :P *shrugs* i would advise if by some miracle they are still for sale to check the US pepsico website to find more info.
hope that helps,
Silkpaws.
It seems that they will be available for ordering on shop.pepsi.com next week on 11/3. IF it is and my budget is able to cope, I'm getting my fill.
The good news is that they are going to do another run of bottles that are supposed to go on sale at 9AM EST Nov. 3rd. (Order at shop.pepsi.com). However, unless you want the special bottle, you will be better off keeping your eyes open for Pepsi Retro, (a guaranteed real-sugar version of Pepsi that they occasionally put on sale, and what they're putting in the Pepsi Perfect bottles.)
[1] Not for sale, you just had to show up dressed as Marty McFly.
If the former, it looks like they fall into the same sort of price range as any other fixture when I took a quick look at homedepot.ca. The latter are quite affordable once you account for the longer life and lower power consumption, (a quick look and at 15% of the rated life, the power savings will easily cover the entire cost of the bulb).
I know that the Philips bulbs are available in multiple colour temperatures. They also have a very nice warranty, (minimum of 3 years from manufacture, you don't need to keep your receipt).
I have a small 12 bulb LED on my desk that I've had for a few years and have been wanting to to get something of its caliber for lighting up my entire room since it would be cooler in both temp and appearance.
For purchasing bulbs:
Since you seem to want a 'colder' white with more blue and less red/yellow, look for bulbs with a higher white temperature, (an incandescent bulb will be ~3000K as a point of reference).
The reference points for brightness are that a 100W incandescent is 1600lm and a 60W 800lm.
If you have an older dimmer switch, LED bulbs are probably not compatible with it. If you want a dimmable light, you need to use a dimmable LED bulb and a modern dimmer switch.
[1] The A19 is the 'standard' bulb that you would probably think of when thinking of a 40/60/100W bulb.
The bottle is what I'm after. The Pepsi Retro is easy to find in my area just like original Mountain Dew, and both are WAY better than the HFC crap that is far more common and it doesn't leave your mouth with that "Ugh" after-taste either.
