Dead Monitor; Possible Commission Delays
About three days ago one of my monitors suddenly showed only a black screen after being on for a brief moment (only about a few seconds), repeating it every time it turned on. Searches online turned up that it might be something to do with its internal capacitors being screwy and a lower monitor brightness setting could help, but even after that it only bumped up working time to about a minute or so before it cut out again. Kept trying with other stuffs but looks like it's biting the dust at this rate, and I'm out a monitor for the time being.
Fortunately, I had a two monitor setup so this doesn't prevent me from using my main desktop computer with one instead. As well, I'm at least halfway to having the funds I need to get a new one (fixing the current one looks like it'll take longer to do and cost more, funny enough). Unfortunately, losing it has had a more significant impact on my workflow than I thought it would have, both for classwork and commissions, and the earliest I can get a new monitor seems to be a week at earliest.
As such, apologies to everyone I owe art to if it takes longer to get to your piece than I expected. I'll make sure to meet deadlines for holiday and birthday-related commissions though.
To my commissioners and anyone who I have a pending trade with, feel free to shoot me a note about any inquiries you may have relating to any trades or commissions I owe you.

Summary: Out a monitor for the time being, possible delays for commissions and other artwork. Send a note if you have any questions about your piece.

They don't sell hardware, they aggregate prices from a bunch of online retailers (e.g., Amazon, New Egg, TigerDirect, etc) and list who has the lowest price for what ever hardware you're looking at (along with the prices from all the other retailers who carry that item). If I didn't use them when building my main PC 3 years ago and instead went to just New Egg, Amazon, or whoever, it would have cost me an extra $200-$300 just because of the differences in prices they all have.
Thanks for the reference yo, oughta be a great help for searching affordable monitors fast, and can certainly come in handy if I make a new rig in the future~
