I remember curbstomping my friends with my 'nid army. Swarms of genestealers make Space marine players cry. Good times.

Heh, last time I played I used Orks :p Still lost but I did wipe out a Dreadnought and a whole marine squad on first turn with a Weirdboy xD

Nice. I remember my preferred tactic perfectly. My army was composed of 3 parts: Winged Assault Swarm, the Infiltration Swarm, and the Horde. In 4th ed, genestealers had Infiltrate, which basically allowed me to have them start VERY close to the enemy lines, inside of a building or later when me and my friends finished our joint project for a map, in the sewers beneath the map.

So my opening move was to release a massive swarm of Gargoyles with Winged Warriors to keep them in line. By my second or third turn, the massive wave of genestealers would already be in assault range. Meanwhile, what my friends described as a tide of bugs approached the lines. By the time the horde got there, my opponent was in disarray.

It worked almost every. single. time.

I absolutely love the fluff of that entire franchise. ^^ My two favorite armies are probably the Space Wolves and the Eldar, personally.

Ahh =p I've not played the tableop in way too long XD I've played some of the vidyagames though :3

Fave armies are Orks, 'Nids, Chaos spess mehreens and regular spess mehreens, as I actually used a faction creation table thing to make own groups xD

I really want their to be a really good videogame again. Space Marine was cool, but I really wanted them to make a sequel to that and that's unfortunately never going to happen, though Dark Millennium (the MMO) is supposed to be coming out next year and that sounds pretty cool.

Well, from what I hear it's going to be free-to-play and the one group you can pick if you only get the free version is going to be the Orks...which is a friggin' brilliant move. XD
