Hello, Everyone!
Magic is strange and odd. There is still much about it don't completely understand. One aspect of this oddity is the day of Halloween on Eden. While we did take that name from the humans of the planet Earth and many of the customs are the same, the reasons on Eden are much different. No one really knows when it started, but I, Aleksandra the Blessed attribute this to some of my former names and long life. Every year on 31st of 8th month, the magical energy around Eden seems to increase. But only in the Witches. During this entire day from dusk until dawn, it is impossible for a Witch to hide themselves. During this time, our eyes glow bright white and magical glyphs appear on our skin. Not even Veronica knew what the glyphs meant.
And when I say "Witches" I do mean all Witches. Past and present. No one knows why or how but on that day the dead walk. And how they manifest is completely random. Veronica has appeared both as an undead zombie and a ghost. Sometimes she even appears completely normal as if she hadn't been dead at all. The oldest of us have theorized that technically, we Witches are immortal and when we "die" our magical energy never does.
Needless to say, before we invented the holiday and traditions to hide this, Halloween was pretty spooky. Still is really. I, being the oldest living Witch, tend to draw a good number of them like moths to a light. So, every Halloween, I get to be woken up by weird sounds and a number of my fellow Witches in various forms wandering around my house. Not pleasant. I had to get a house, too, because having them show up while living in an apartment can make one not so popular with the neighbors.
