First Outing
I had an amazing time over the weekend there, it was my first outing as Fester the Dutch Angel Dragon, and it felt really good to be able to walk around in him at the Belfast Film and Comic Con. My tail was trampled, a lot, but most people apologised, so it was relatively alright; I wasn't too bothered about that.
The thing that really made me happy was how the kids there reacted to me there, it was honestly the best thing ever. I was expecting more of them to be terrified of me, but they were running up to me and waving, saying hello and asking what I was; I even got plenty of hugs, so they were really loving it. I must have gotten a picture with almost every kid there, and yet I can't find a single bloody one of them! But oh well.
There was one thing that I didn't particularly appreciate, and that was when I heard someone say look down and I saw a kid or two smiling up at me, then looking up to see a camera or a phone pointed at me and without so much as asking, just assumed I'd pose for the photo. Manners don't cost anything, and the people who asked me to pose with there kids, I was more than happy to do so. It was just very rude, and made me feel a little bit used that they thought I would just automatically pose because they pointed a camera at me, and the only reason I didn't walk away was because of the kids standing at my feet.
But, the overall experience of being in him for the first time was just amazing, and I hope to do it again sometime soon! If that was how it felt running around in a partial, I really can't wait for the day when I'll be able to walk around in a fullsuit!
