Soooo, now that Summer is officially over in California and winter is on the rise. It's the time when Food Trucks aren't needed as much and I've noticed a decline in the hours I've been working, which is good. After several weeks of 50 to 60 hour weeks...double after doubles, I'm getting a break. The first thing I really want to tackle is NaNoWriMo.

I've only ever been able to accomplish it once in the form of a book of short stories. This year I want to write a linear story line from start to finish. I figured if I wrote 2000 words a day I should get finished early enough to do some polishing on the story so that I can post it on December 1st, if I can keep up with it. So yesterday I outlined the whole story and I felt pretty good about it, but still a little shaky. I've not been writing much lately so I'm scared I'll lose interest. Well today my resolve has been tempered in the fires of my passion. I managed to write the first two chapters at a whopping 4,582 words. That puts me well ahead of the game. Tomorrow I'll attempt to do another chapter, or two if I feel like it. I really want to get out of this writer's block funk I've been under.
