I'm going back to Canada in ten days. Things are stable enough that I can work on my art again.
I'm sorry I went AWAL, I was desperate to find work in the US and spent every day with potential employers, the USCIS, attorneys on the phone, and odd jobs to pay for gas. My plan was to return to art once I had secured basic living income since I wasn't making enough on my own, but I've hit a big old wall in terms of paperwork, time, and money that will be easier to climb if I return north first.
In about a year I can try to gain employment and citizenship in the US again, after I've worked off my debts with my family. My depression is manageable now that I've basically had free counseling from a certified therapist and been able to try out different medications. Everything that seemed like a big deal in Canada is now small potatoes and I can get it done in three days at the most.
I need to update my commissions info since FA apparently nerfed the forums, but I won't be accepting new payment for work until I get my old work done anyway. Everyone on the list will be contacted as their piece is completed.
I'm no longer dating gonnaeatyou and I won't be offering any further collaborations with that artist after I finish what I owe. This is your notice to remind them if they owe you artwork; they don't keep a list, they don't think about it, and they're not motivated enough to take the bus to get materials so as of today there's a ten day window for me to pick them up.
