What kind of tablet do you use? If you don't use a cintiq or anything really super fancy like that, I'd suggest Monoprice. I actually prefer the Monoprice tablet that I got a couple of years ago over the Wacom I had before it, and the Monoprice one was only $45. :3

It's my laptop I'm trying to update the graphics drivers for :V when I get a crash updating this, it basically fucks up my display and I have to do a system restore to set my computer at anything above 800x600px resolution.

Wow, I totally misread that, then. XD Possibly because my boyfriend had that issue with his tablet drivers the other day. @.@

Yeah, they do have a lot of driver issues, it's crazy! Usually just reinstalling them fixes it, and luckily they have free downloads for them all now and you don't have to hope your cd's still around @o@

Actually, what kind of computer and OS are you running? My boyfriend has a Mac running Windows, and he recently updated to Windows 10 and had the graphics doing exactly what you described, crashing mid-way through the update and whatnot. He ended up having to downgrade back to 7 (because fuck 8) in order for it to work again.

I'm using Windows 7, but am on a PC. I know PCs and Macs use pretty different graphics cards though, so idk if it's related (unless his for some reason has ATI radeon card) :V

Unfortunately, no, he has an AMD card, and I barely know anything about any cards outside of what he and I have, so I'm out of my depth. Damn, I was hoping I might have some insight to help you out. :c

is it downloading through windows update or the graphics card updater program? either way id try going to the website for the card and downloading it from there maybe. its possible the update might have gotten corrupted when it was downloading :>

i feel you on the phobia thing though. error screens and BSODs are still one of the few things that send a chill down my spine lmao

I just tried from the site itself, After looking up the issue, I found that this wasn't especially rare and was either related to a necessary upgrade to the BIOS to continue or because ASUS hasn't made any updates to actually let let updates work properly. Idk, I stopped looking, I'm just not going to bother for now. *ROLLS AWAY*

My tablet up and quit working one night and I started freaking out because I have no job and how am I supposed to art for money without a tablet and oh shit I'd be so screwed if anything in my computer broke [HEAVY BREATHING]. I managed to fix it but dang that feeling is the worst :c

Plus I have the Adobe suite on here and IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ME COMPLAIN ABOUT ADOBE YET--- (they make it really, really difficult to regain the use of your software after a serious failure, and you may be forced to buy a new suite for almost $2000 ON TOP OF whatever cost for repairs or new tech you'd be needing) I started getting stress dreams and panic attacks because of fucking Adobe. Been somewhat better now, although probably not after today.

Yeah, on the upside, a couple of contracts I've gotten recently along with some of my savings will very nearly, if not totally, cover the cost of a doubly nice newer model of the G73 I have, which has otherwise served me very, very well over the past several years. :3c
