I Want to be a Singing Animal Person

Recently I've been getting into like... Show Culture? I guess? I'm starting to go to back of the bar shows. I've been doing social media for my friend's band but also listening to a lot of small time artists lately. I want to do that, I want to sing fun wry folk songs and entertain people. Make a hipster exhale sharply with a lyric, that kind of thing.
But then also I really like furry music! And by furry music I mean songs that make explicit references to being an animal. Even tough he's disappeared (for better or for worse), I liked Futret's Gay Deer World Takeover EP. It was super campy but was like a real deer person singing and I don't know I am just endlessly amused by the idea of animal people just being people (but also animals!)
Currently, my favorite furry musician is Niic the Singing Dog... even though his singing leaves a lot to be desired. Again, I liked his earlier stuff when he talked about being a dog and pitched his voice a bit higher. He still does his shows in fursuit! And I love it!
Furry music is just an extension of this game of animal people pretend we play and I want to try it out!
If I did, I'd definitely use K.O. as my musician persona. They're actually already based off of the folks that go to and perform at shows (specifically Mal Blum)! Obviously, I'd perform in fursuit and I think my songs would be really off the cuff, rambles almost about love, loss and the small things in life like your coffee getting old because you got distracted... but also being a werewolf!
Anyway, I hope some day I could actually pull this off! My singing isn't exactly the best and I haven't picked up a guitar in years.... but furry music is definitely something I appreciate to the moon and back!
