Alright. So here goes one of these things. First off why are they called memes? They have nothing to do with the Dawkins definition, or the bastardized definition of Willy Wonka gifs with pithy text on them. It's more like a self promoting "me-me" ... but I digress.

My first con experience was at a regional con this summer and I'll be honest for the most part I wasn't really amused by what I saw. I've been convinced to go to this one against my better judgement with some good friends. And again ... to be honest, I'm more interested in seeing my good friends, the windy city, it's museums, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra then I am the convention floor. But I'm giving it all one more chance. The flight was cheap.


Where are you staying?

What days wlll you be there?
Maybe Friday. Saturday. Don't see myself lingering around too long.

Who will you hang out with during the convention?
My close, exclusionary circle of friends listed above. Well that and ... drop me a note or say hi and we'll do lunch.

Send me a note here or if you have my skype, do that. I don't use twitter or any other social network. I'll be wearing my infamous rhino pattern shirt. And badges.

Are there any panels you might be attending?
The 2015 MFF rhino panel - it will be just me in a janitorial closet. Otherwise, in the off chance there's something interesting, but I assume not.

Absolutely not.

Maybe a trade. I don't post my art, and I draw really slow. But I actually make my living professionally in art. Y'all don't even realize.

If I'm at the con, i'll be wondering around, taking it all in. If I'm not, I'll be at the Chicago Art Institute, The old Symphony Center, or being a tourist.

My gracious hostess will probably decide. The Pizza better live up to the hype....

Maybe if you don't annoy thie living shit out of me? : )
