TERRORISM!!

From Dasher E. Corgi's Orange Room Office Desk.
Terrorism can not exist, it must not exist any longer than it already has, it must be destroyed globally. these acts of evil, of cowards who won't dare come into face to face, paw to paw combat with the enemy but will gladly remote bomb an entire office building fully packed and walk away as if nothing happened.
Paris, London, Nairobi, Dar Sa Lam, New York City, Sydney, Bali, USS Cole, Arlington VA, MLH over Russia, these and other terrorist related attacks will be and must be avenged by the deaths of those who commits such acts.
King Leonidas and Silvestor Silverstone summed up my feels on Terrorist best:
Silvestor: "Track him, Find him, Kill him"
King Leonidas: "This is where we hold them, this is where we fight them, this is where they die!"

It is mind numbingly tragic that there even have to be people out there, making statements of whatever nature by causing mass murder and destruction. And, if anything, it reinforces the statement that freedom isn't free.
We can cry all we want that security should be tighter. Activities should be monitored more closely. The evil doers of the world should be imprisoned. But, you can enter a police state so strict that just to leave your own home for any reason, you need an authorized pass in order to avoid being arrested or even shot. After all, the more freedom that the innocent have is just more opportunities for the evils of this world to utilize.
After all, here in America, we're still a few steps closer to a total police state after 9/11. And that includes giving anyone the ability to dial in, scream 'terrorist' and have SWAT bash down the door, ready to obliterate anyone inside with lethal force if just the minimal amount of resistance is shown.
To defeat terrorism, you must surrender pretty much everything about your life for safety. And then...haven't the terrorists truly won by that point? You, the innocent, are now little more then a prisoner.
Just so many weeks back in Florida, a man takes a gun to a convention. It's a Zombie Convention and opens fire, killing one guy and wounding others. In a secured police state, the gun man would have never made it there. Nor would any attendees. For, the gathering of a large party is a target for terrorism and thus the attendees would all remain confined to their homes. Weeks before that, a bunch of kids go to a Pokemon convention. Gunmen were taken down before getting any shots off. But, a police state would have kept all those kids home to begin with. And, that's not living.
"I say we nuke 'em from orbit. Its the only way to be sure."
Sure. It's an old horror movie. But, it's still quite pulse raising.
We are on an ever evolving spike of technology. In my lifetime, I've witnessed society go from having a love affair with television to discovering the usefulness of computers to gaining a foot hold into mobile phones to the merging of phone and computers. Now, the newer generations quite literally don't want to part with their SmartPhones. Seems to be quite the interest in interfaces that close the gap on audio/visual to ones senses. Plus the internet has gone from something of a curiosity to an everyday necessity. So, my theory is that there will be a great deal of people willing to upgrade their own brains with technology, so they can always be on-line to chat with friends and obtain information at will. Plus, imagine the realism when one can play a game like Call of Duty with all the responsiveness of a direct connection and the ability to override your real senses with virtual ones. And, by removing that barrier of being an individual, I theorize that no amount of anti-virus/firewall/protective programs will save those that expose their minds to the world in such a way. (Plus, there's this scary notion that with the advancements of technology may come super tiny machines that can float in the air and enter our own bodies as we breath. Then, on the inside, start to control us, anyhow. As in Non-voluntary upgrading. But, that's another sci-fi notion that could come true, some day.)
If all the jerkwads that love to write virii to crash our computers these days, just imagine the swarm of trouble that will happen when down-and-out terrorist types are able to override the thoughts of a new generation that is connected to the whole world. I like to call one of them 'HeartAttack.exe' that just tells your heart to either stop beating or beat so fast that it goes into arrest. Instant murder software. Smarter virii would have people Will all their money and possessions to some kind of collection account before dying. Or what about 'Zombie.exe' that can take control of people like hackers today are remote controlling the newest of car models? 'Berzerker.exe' that sends people out on killing/suicide missions to cause terror in the real world. Milder virii writers might see it humorous to make people act drunk in public. 'Nudist.exe' to make people expose themselves. The list can go on and on and on.
When it takes years to grow a Human to maturity and a minute to infect a mind with some deadly cyber thoughts, it isn't so far fetched to realize that primitives in Africa may be the only ones left unaffected by the antics of terrorist types with keys to the world.
