Yush, it was announced at the Nintendo Direct livestream presentation. It's neat. They said you would be able to transfer some "Twilight Princess HD" data from the amiibo over to the new game that is currently planned to come out in 2016. Plus obvious advantages of having the game now in 16:9 format.
