Update on Jo

MMM it's been a while, and since all I ever post anymore is art, adopts, and comm openings I thought maybe I should post a little update on how Jojo is doin' -- especially since I haven't been on twitter in like a million years jfk;a
So let's see....
Yeah, I haven't been on twitter in about a million years FFF, but I think I warned about being p absent last time I did an update journal. But it's kinda nice, not having the distraction or worrying about what everyone else is up to all the time. I think my focus has definitely improved with taking the break.
/rubs neck... Idk when I'll come back to it tho. Eventually?? I guess?? /sweats

I've been working on a comic! Cuz november is when you write, but I thought man I wanna do a comic instead. I hope I can get somewhere with it enough to share it with you all eventually! (Tho gomen, it doesn't have any furries in it )
mMMMM I've been really enjoying One-Punch Man (esp sonic's ass like hot damn boi)
And reading it prompted me to go read Eyeshield 21 (same artist) and so that was sure an adventure fff I really, really like the artist for those manga... just dang, so detailed and expressive. So pretty... /dreamy sigh over art senpais
Oh, I've also been working on a couple of new species! They're more kemonomimi so their focus will be outfits versus markings.
The first, which I've named Melwyrms, a few might have seen back when I first started working on them (a few months ago??)--I think I mentioned them and linked some info on twitter before... Well, I'm finally picking them up and trying to develop 'em a bit more. I'm hoping to dance a line between really creepy, but really beautiful with them. They're sorta like..... lion-like worm things?? /laughs at the mental image that must conjure
The second, is actually not entirely new -- they're the feather tail things I put up for OTA a while ago. But I've started shaping them up and working out their lore and stuff. * v*
I hope I can post a bit more about them officially soon!

I've just been sticking to myself a lot, and... drawing... always drawing I stg.
Lemme tell you tho I cannot wait until april so I can be free of this saving-for-taxes hell. o<-<
First year is friggin' brutal, and moving made it worse. /wheeze
Trying to swing like 30% of my entire year's income in four months is not fun good grief
So things like trades are p much not gonna be happening for a while, and I'm forcing myself to take a break from buying adoptables or comms or anything like that :(
I can't wait until I can spend money again weeps
someday... someday I will return from the war and partake in the joys of art and adopts from others. 8'(

yEAH tho sometimes I just go thru really anti social periods where I kinda just.. keep to myself for a while. Obvsly I can't do that completely cuz I gotta work, but otherwise I've been okay!
I'm sure when i'm less stressed about money I'll start feeling social again and allow myself the distraction that is twitter once more ;V;/
bUT SPIDERS IM OS SORRY im with u on that end;;;; usually for my house it's just the occaisonal one i gotta worry bout ;o;
But yeah, I would recommend both! Eyeshield 21 is sports manga (definitely one to read, not watch) but it's really wacky and the characters are a lot of fun. One-Punch Man, idk how much you know about it? About a guy who's a super hero, but he's SO GOOD/STRONG that everything is really boring cuz he can defeat it with one punch. Different writer, but same artist so it kinda ends up with a similar vibe anyway. The characters are all really silly in it too and oh man oh man the art is really good.
aND MMMMMM I've been watching Infested lately?? About like homes that get infested with bugs or rodents or the like... and spider infestations are actually a thing and now I am paranoid out the wazoo. I think I'd be less freaked out if it was your standard house spider or a jumping spider cuz those guys are p harmless, but idk /what/ this was.... I killed a hobo spider in our garage once, and this kinda looked similar but a bit smaller. Still the biggest spider I've ever seen inside a house itself. 8(((( /cry
Gonna mass clean everything and hope it was a one-time deal and there aren't more hiding anywhere jfkl;s

Hrngh, One Punch Man makes me laugh so hard I choke XD I'm glad one of the people who runs one of my favorite Tokyo Ghoul blogs was like 'Guys, this right here.' XD
Unfortunately all I can say about spiders is lots of Raid ;~; My last place was like infested with them in the summer time. But it would probably be better to go with Mallimutt's idea since that sounds less harsh than tons of Raid. My dog also ate a lot of spiders which I don't know if that was a good thing or not.
And yeah! We've been having an on-going ant problem since we've moved in too /groans
So I might put the pest control stuff we have for that along my baseboards jfkdas
But omg, I hope it doesn't get that bad here in summer /weeps besides a few in the garage, I've only seen like.. idk a small handful in the house since moving in. I'm hoping this was like just a one-time freakishly big spider and I won't be seeing any more like that inside the house. x___x
I hope so to. Spiders are seriously the worst x____x The only thing I can think of that would be worse is like a wasp/bee/yellow jacket infestation but I'm insanely afraid of stinging insects so that would be like the apocalypse to me...
I'm honestly not sure which one I hate most... tho i know most spiders are pretty harmless not all are, and at least a wasp sting won't rot your flesh away I guess fjksl;fdlk;f Still... at least spiders can't fly fjkld;fs iDK BOTH SUCK
Also, sorry, but you might have to burn your house down. Spiders are nope. :<
