Welp, That Didn't Work
Tech Services couldn't do anything, so my old hard drive and files are pretty much out of reach. Professional data recovery's too pricey, so... oh well, I suppose. I'll just hold onto it until I've earned enough to get the stuff recovered. I am so glad that my roommate gave me the replacement; really saved me there. So now... I don't know. I really don't know. Those files were important to me, but were they essential? Not really. Can I replace them? Some of them. Does it still bother me? Yes. Can I draw? Probably. Can I upload stuff? Probably. Do I have the motivation? Not really. I just... don't know. What now? Move on, I guess. Just get over it and keep on going.
C'est la vie.
Oh, and have a Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.

Only thing I can think of is try to turn the old hard drive into an external hard drive plug it into a USB port and try to read the files but... if the drive has completely failed that's not going to work either :/
I'm sorry.
*hugs*
Thanks, Calex. I'm always glad to see you care, even if my problems are rather silly sometimes.
