it plays lots of things differently, introduces new mechanics and such whose reception varies from person to person.
story is good though starts out kinda slow.
AI is much better than Explorers.
post main story line the game thankfully gives you something to do VS Gates which was like "just keep building paradise".
that plus that all 720 pokemon are recruitable gives you quite a lot of things to accomplish. the recruitment system is different though, it's kinda like suikoden III but with 720 characters =p
I was slightly compelled to buy the game on Black Friday after waiting in line for hours to buy my NEW 3DSXL. Sadly, ever since playing the first installment I got put off by the entire series. I dont fully remember what the 1st game had that I didn't like, but I can only assume it was addressed later? (Item carrying capacity was stupid-small)
i think it also gradually increased in size in the first game, though you gotta proceed through the game for that. inventory management is quite a big part in this game (unlike the main series where you just take literally everything with you)
Now to wait three months for it to release in europe ;w;
