Indeed. I've worked pretty much all the holidays until my last job, since it was literally insurance agent hours. This new one is tech support for a credit card processing company so I'll probably be working all of them again. :P But since I never had to deal directly with the public, I didn't mind much... I feel sorry for the people who get shrieked at for 12 hours straight...

I did 9 years as a customer service associate, not much fun.

Except for three years in AOhelL, I've never done customer service, just tech support. There is a difference; customer service, you have to pat them on the head and tell them that whatever stupid shit they did is correct and it's OBVIOUSLY your company's fault that the phone couldn't stand up to being run over by a semi loaded with anvils... Me, I could tell them "Shit's broke. I'll have them send you another one."

While I am into computers, I'm not entirely user friendly. :P

Ye cats and little fishies... I don't know how people do it. I don't even like shopping, because of the people around, even when they're not interacting with me... I have occasionally stood up for the cashiers when someone was giving them shit over stuff they had no control over...

I can regale you with many tales. Guns pulled, toilets overflowed, floods, smoke, blackouts . . . .
