Happy Thanksgiving

Very proud of making a nicely roasted 15 lbs bird, came out heavenly.
- 15 lbs Butterball turkey.
--- brine for 30 hrs, included allspice, whole peppercorn, candied ginger and dark brown sugar.
--- baked 30 mins at 500 F°, then gave it a tin foil hat, then slow roasted for 2.25 hrs at 350 F°.
- 2 cans crispy'n'sweet corn.
--- Rustic seasoned it himself, at that point it was more like fire-roasted style.
- 2 cans cut green beans.
--- blanched with salt, pepper, and butter, then drained before serving.
- 2 cans cut carrots.
--- used dark brown sugar to make a soft caramel for it.
- 2 boxes Kraft turkey stuffing.
- 1 container of dinner rolls.
--- very lightly baked, before serving.
- 1 can jellied cranberry sauce.
--- chilled, before serving.
- 2 packets of baby red mashed potatoes.
- 1 apple-crumb pie, made from scratch.
--- Din used fresh, diced apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar for it.
- 1 carton of Friendly's vanilla bean ice cream.
- 1 tub of cool whip.
That's pretty much the spread. Turkey came out fantastic, so did Din's pie, Rustic's corn and carrots.
So. Much. Food. So. Much. Clean-up. ~_~
