Let me bounce an idea off of you

I've had this thought for a while, and I may not ever write it down at all, but I envisioned an MLP rendition of the first episode of Star Trek the Next Generation, since John de Lancie was both Q from Star Trek TNG and is Discord from MLP.
This is how I would cast the pony characters, feel free to share your own ideas/suggestions:
Princess Celestia -- Captain Picard
Princess Luna -- Commander Riker
Twilight Sparkle -- Lt. Commander Data (with emotions of course)
Rarity -- Counsellor Troi
Rainbow Dash -- Lt. Yar
Applejack -- Lt. LaForge (Geordi was a junior grade Lt. in season 1)
Fluttershy -- Dr. Crusher
Shining Armor -- Lt. Worf
Pinkie Pie -- Wesley Crusher
Discord -- Q
