Greetings and Welcome to the Republic Database! Here is your topic!
The one thing I know as a Furry is RPing, RPing is a glory to what it's best, it helps build alot of things. However I've noticed that there these Hardcore Furries, or should I say, "Traditional Furries" these Furries that believe in the old ways and won't accept change. Now recently I've seen how some furs don't really like the new things that is progressing in the Furry Community. More specifically in the Vore Community. Now as many of you know, Vore has became a near standard here, and it's progressed and expanded exponentially to a whole grand of variations. However some furs prefer Realism, more Specifically: "Permavore but not Official" variant. Every other Vore according to them is Fantasy and people suffer this "Mental Insecurity" that they don't want to accept that All vore ends in Death.
I've known that Vore has alot of Variations, there is different types of Vore, but sometimes people don't have the right their ideas are the exact definition and all must follow their way, Truth or not, they don't have the right to force their opinions on people that their version of Vore or what they fantasize Vore is completely wrong. I understand if you want a Realism Vore, but you have no right to say what other people fantasize of vore to be completely wrong, and to add more salt on the wound they have Mental Insecurities on it. That's just plain rude. I know that back in the old day Vore was considered realism vore, none of this Soft Vore, no, but people now have changed Vore to a massive community! You can't just can't say what they fantasize in Vore is wrong because it's Not the True Way of Vore. Vore as of now "A Eats B" in a variation of Vore, not back in the day when it was "A kills B, then eats and digests B" I know there is Hardcore vore, or as we call Fatal Vore, that is perfectly fine because there are people who are into it, but as said, you can't imply that what people fantasize in vore as wrong or vore in general.
Which leads to my next case on RPing, RPing has changed as the Furry Community evolved, people now are usually asking for more details, or better detailed RP's or as people say "More than just one sentence" RP's, If people have a requirement on what they want for RPing it's best to meet it, however if it's a strict verbatim that is a conflict of interests that is never simple, and I will say as an example.
"I don't want detail, or backstory in RP's"
"But I want Extras in it"
It's a contradiction especially when you add specific requirements, like "You have to be this if you want to RP with me" RPing when I experience it is usually more open, because people are more open to likes and don't have requirements, the only time I've seen you know these requirements is usually the position Pred/Prey, Dom/Sub. But if people have these Verbatim Requirements like in the example, why do you even RP? because you don't want detail, but want extras, but need a person to be this specific in order to RP? Really? I can understand the extreme requirements, but most people now they usually atleast provide more detail than just one sentence unless they are busy, and these one word RP's are explainable because it's either busy or not interested.
I may never know why certain people are this, but I don't judge them, because everyone is different, you just can't apply your opinion and force everyone to obey it to a verbatim....
Deeply Sorry everyone for this Vent Journal, I just needed to get this off my chest, I'll remove it in the morning. Good Night everyone! And have a great Thanksgiving!~ *goo hugs all around*

Hell. I put a lot of effort into an RP with one person. Gave it a lot of thought. and their ONLY responce was nothing more than "^.=.^"
I cant respond to that. its entirely one sided.
Of course I do occasionally do one-liners myself. But when it comes to a moment in the RP or story that details would be nice, well. I prefer the details. Be it describing the setting, a scene of a moment in time. or for me, a few extra details in noms. Its the immersion that I look for. I just dont like it when all i get is a single emote in responce. its like.. Im giving them all they want but I get nothing in return. Roleplay is a Two way street, both parties needs to enjoy it.
*A pecks at B's eyes*
*B reacts and falls down*
*A pierces B's neck and eats*
*B dies with throat gorged out*
Atleast some extra detail that's atleast bigger than the one sentence, That I'm fine with, but it's like in the example, where there it's like that... no, there is no Immersion, theres no effort... theres no... imagery...., how can one you know imagine something if there is no detail, if there is no plot or storyline! It would be nice! Even if there is no storyline/plot, atleast some detail to put some imagery or imagination in it! but like you said
*A eats B*
*B squirms*
A pats belly*
Then it can be well an annoyance, the only time I accept this type of RP, is if its for a reason, like they are not in the mood, busy, or just not interested. This I usually accept as an example. One liners are acceptable to a tee..
I used to RP on forums where people followed strict rules. Wish I could go back to those.
But yes, I believe I understand your frustration (s). People seem to try and toce stuff on other people and make then uncomfortable, OR they don't type at all hardly and expect YOU to be the one typing the most.
But erm...I don't do any of this do I? At least I don't think so. I do like fatal, digestion and hard vore, because well, I am a predator, and I just like that, sorry, but I don't do it all the time exactly. Added i usually as either before the rp starts, or ask in parenthesis.
I tend to type details all the time, and do my best to have both people be able to visualize the story. Hmm...maybe we could role play toghether sometime Adrian?
Its up to you my friend, but yes I believe I knownwhat you mean.
*A pecks at B's eyes*
*B reacts and falls down*
*A pierces B's neck and eats*
*B dies with throat gorged out*
Like a simple old time RP, when Detail didn't exist as his details.
No it doesn't have to do with you.
i may not be into fatal or realism vore. only soft because im a goo loving person.
and for me rping, i just do it for fun from time to time with my friends. even it can get outta hand.
*hugs*
again i agree with what you had to say here. some rpers like to force some things down our throasts that we either not like in general or down right hate.
whatever floats your boat and your intrests.
i do respect alot of other rpers (even if they have some kinks im not really into) but respectful in general <3
The one thing I hate is when people force opinions on it, because "I understand you love Realism Vore" but you just can't say that All Vore that is not your "way" wrong and must be destroyed or forgotten, and to make it worst, saying people have Mental Insecurities over it. Really? I understand the different of Fantasy vs Realism in Vore but people just don't have the right to attack people's likes in Vore and say they are not Voreaphiles because they love a variation of Fantasy Vore and not Realism Vore or the vore they have doesn't end in Death.
No one has the right to impose their beliefs about anything onto someone else. Everyone is entitled to have their own opinions and beliefs they want. If those people you speak of want anyone to respect what they believe then they should respect what others believe in regardless if they don't agree with it.
FOR him.
As in, he wanted me to do all the actual writing, he just wanted to read it :P
And sorry for non of the comas and stuff I tend to have trouble with that
