Late Paw-Post again - but this is due to an issue with the Artist Highlight again. I try to get those underway a week in advance, but sometimes folks don't check their messages as often as others and it means I'm stuck waiting for a response. Ever since I had issues with one, I try to line up a second as a sort of failover by midweek, which I did this time, but so far, that's fallen through as well - most likely due to the holiday weekend in the US and all the craziness of Thanksgiving/Black-Friday/etc. So... I shall post it delayed again, I guess.

On a surprise note I was shocked to see I hit 1000 watchers! It's surprising because.... I don't really post stories or art very much. Or fave things. :P And yes... that very much does remind me I need to try and post art - I have even some commissions and stuff I need to post. Nonetheless, thank you VERY much to all my watchers for still wanting to keep an eye on the page. :) I promise I will try to get more content going, other than just journals! :) I definitely have some wonderful friends pushing me to get back into doing more art, so hopefully that comes to pass. :)

Some tough choices for Most Pawesome today as well as once again, there were three front-runners that really caught my eye. Heh - as I've said before though, that is a good problem to have. ;)

Why: Because when ZP92 strays into C2/C3 paw type territory... the results are divine. Can you imagine how gobsmacked you'd be if you were behind this beautiful lady as her paws came up and were RIGHT in front of you like that!? Oh man... big beautiful toes, lovely pads and a gorgeous arch full of lines and wrinkles to a beautiful heel. Those are some very beautiful footpaws, especially the pose that the left one is in. Oi.

Some real gems from LJ - especially the first one, which was one of the runner-ups for Most Pawesome today. I really, really love how the toes are playfully tied and wiggling about. The second one is a gorgeous picture of Typhek doing what he usually does - causing mayhem and showing off his amazing sole pads. Last one is a big guy (skunk, I think) showing off some big thicks toes and soles. Among other things.

This was another runner up for Most Pawesome in that SpecterDragon (the orange/yellow/black follow on the floor) is VERY much enjoying the toes of Dragonecho. Lots of nice paws visible in this orgy piece.

You know......... normally I'm not one for oily feet because as someone who wants'em in my face... oil is messy. XD BUT... this just looks way too good to pass up on. This beautiful snake lady has some very incredible C1 type soles, and the way that ZP's done the oil sheen is really well done. And if that doesn't convince you, then just enjoy the picture for the comedic value of little Modem's reaction to those oil-dripping feet. :3 Haha.

Lots of goodies from Vallhund here! She always draws such huge, wonderful toes and thick pads. In all cases, the feet are really great on all of these. I think I like the feet on the bottom dude in the last picture most - very nicely proportioned, and how she's drawn the partial rubber booties that let you peek at the ballpad is a wonderful tease.

Artist (re)Highlight:  CariFoxLeopard!

(TC) Cari was one of the first artist highlights of the original public Paw-posts, appearing a year ago. Back then the highlights were a heck of a lot simpler thing - basically me going "check this artist out!" and not much else. Since they've evolved a lot since then, I asked Cari if she would like to do the highlight again with the Q&A section, and she said SURE! Cari has pretty much become a permanent fixture of the Paw-Posts, always having the first spot as she nearly always has something from post to post in the paw department. Some Q & A

(TC) Hiya Cari! So wow, this is 1 year since the first time you were high-lighted in the Paw-Posts (then the Paw-mail). Thanks for being willing to come back and do it again - this time with the Q&A stuff. Normally I'd start with a paw-oriented question, but I think the first burning thing on my mine is - how the heck do you draw so much stuff all the time!?

(Cari) I am a very determined individual. I also support myself doing art as a fulltime job, so keeping afloat is motivation enough to pump out art on a daily basis. I'm glad the volume is appreciated and not just seen as spam! haha

(TC) Alright, so the obligatory paw questions next - should come as zero shock to anyone on this post that you draw a LOT of paw-centric pictures. I know you just recently explained it on a picture you posted, but for everyone here - can you explain your personal feelings towards paws?

(Cari) Sure, I personally do NOT have any sexual attraction towards paws. I do LOVE drawing them and the aesthetic is just really pleasing to me. It doesn't get old. Paws are really cute and just deserve more attention.

(TC) Since you enjoy drawing them - would you say you have a particular favourite kind of paw to draw? Or maybe colour/type?

(Cari) I definitely have a biased opinion for my favorite type of paw. Feline paws are just the best, I love the option of having claws and drawing the retracted puffy toes! Them toe beans are so fun to draw. Though canine paws are great also :D As for coloring I have no real preference. I like them all.

(TC) So how did you get so well known for your paw stuff - just kinda..... happened?

(Cari) Yeeeep. Definitely something that kinda just happened. I didn't plan it, or draw them on purpose for this type of attention. I just got "type-casted" as a friend of mine put it lmao. Got noticed for one thing and the demand for that one thing blew up.

(TC) One thing I find really great about your gallery is that there's a lot more to it than the paw stuff; you have a huge range of expressions, poses, details and scenes. Where did you learn to draw so vividly and "alive"?

(Cari) I draw my inspirations from animated films(like most artists here I believe), and real life. And not many people realise that a general understanding of how your own body works and how natural vertebrates act in motion can greatly improve how you imagine posing and execute it in an illustration. The goal is not to make things look realistically perfect but to make it look believable. The viewer's brain does the rest.

(TC) If you have to choose a favourite type or theme of picture to draw, what would that be, and why?

(Cari) I love drawing pictures involving feral animals. I love all creatures on four legs AND they're easier for me to draw. As my anthro work has improved, my comfort zone will always remain with the quadraped.

(TC) And I suppose the opposite to that - is there anything you really dislike doing or get tired of?

(Cari) I don't really like drawing monster like creatures. And what I mean by that is the excessive 10 eyed, 6 limbed, 3 penis, 24 inch tongue etc. Its just not my thing. Also people that want hyper proportions. Like unrealistically sized breasts and dicks. No thank you.

(TC) Do you have advice you could give anyone who's interested in learning to draw like you?

(Cari) I know you've all heard this a thousand times, but its true. Practice. Practice. Practice. Also worth noting... you should aim to draw like YOU. Not like anyone else.

(TC) Final question - is there anything you would like to say to your many fans on this Post-post?

(Cari) Thank you so so much for the continuous support of my work! I'll never stop being shocked at how far I've come and its all thanks to everyone here. I'll never be able to show how truly grateful I am to all my clients and watchers for providing me the option to live by doing what I love most. And I'm super honored to be considered one of the best paw artists on FA! I honestly can't believe it haha
