That mean its time for a new banner for the foxyfurs Facebook page. So if any of you have any art you would like to have appear as our banner for December please let us know in the comments. We would also like to ask you all what is it that you love about Christmas?

Going back to my young life, there were a lot of wonderful things about it that stirred great happiness in me: the red and green metallic shinies in the decorations, the scent of a real pine tree in the living room, the special appreciation for both the large frosted christmas lights and the little mini-bulb twinkle lights, the decorations set out on the tables and hung on the tree which each seemed to be a little tradition in and of themselves, that special musty basement smell that those once-a-year decorations had permanently soaked into them, the gentle snowfall as we went downtown to the stores we never went to any other time of the year, the sights and sounds and scents of the department stores (most of which no longer exist) that had so many special things to get for gifts for people, the actual in-store gift wrapping that looked so much more amazing than anything we could do at home (yes, I'm that old), all the different christmas cookies that we never made any other time of the year... I could probably go on, but you get the idea. As a kid it was a magical time for me, and a very different time from what we experience now with the christmas quarter of the year. Back then, the idea of anything related to christmas in ads or on the radio/tv before thanksgiving was unthinkable. Now, I see chriastmas stuff in some stores in the third week of August, saw my first set of yard christmas lights on November 7th, and one of our local radio stations begins 24/7 christmas music on November 1st.
