No I know a lot of people who got into it from a young age, and I TECHNICALLY was because I was way into neopets (god I am SO OLD) but just never had a word for it and then by high school I was in a group of friends who thought furries were weird so I just went along with them in thinking that.
Now I just don't care and I think it's fun so whatever. In actuality it's not THAT weird, people just make it 30 times weirder than it has to be :T
