What are you looking forward to in 2016?

General
I was just thinking, I've been looking forward to a couple things slated for 2016.
First off, I'm looking forward to VR technology. I don't really know why. I mean, I live in a world that's pretty immersive. I move my hand to pick up a ball and it happens. No lag, no graphics errors, no pixels out of place or animation complications. It's pretty solid. So as much as I am begging to experience VR as part of my daily life, I'm not sure why I would want to live a fake life where my life has meaning and room for me as opposed to living in the real world where my life is often a burden upon others and no matter how much effort I put out people still treat me as if they wish I didn't exist... actually I may see the appeal, but it's all about picking the right software.
Second, presidential elections are coming up. I hate that it's going to be another round of picking the lesser evil. Why can't I look at a voter's ballot and say to myself "gee, they're all so great, it's going to be hard to decide!" instead of the usual "wow, they all suck *sigh* who do I think is going to screw us over less?"
I'm looking forward to more episodes of Doctor Who. I've been watching them on Comcast's xfinity online page, which is nice.
Looking forward to new Warframe updates and seeing where the gameplay goes.
Looking forward to (and hoping for) low income options being established in Seattle. Hopefully the homeless crisis will make some progress.
Looking forward to Lightrail extensions. From the sound of it, I'll be able to take the light rail all the way up to Northgate. Nice as that is, from the sound of things I'd still have to make a transfer at one end of Lake union in order to board a train going to the other side, so perhaps I'd be better off keeping my current route and transferring outside the westlake center. 2 transfers compared to 3, that's how I see it. It'll be great for people commuting from Sea-Tac to the UW though.
I'd also like to see the tunnel get finished, just because I want it to be done with. At this point in time, if rather than turn it into a highway, we repaired the viaduct over pass and converted the tunnel into low income housing (it'd probable be able to house thousands) it may serve the city better, make a better financial return and maybe set a trend for subterranean housing developments.
As it is the younger people are being packed away in pods, might as well give them artificial windows and hide them under the face of the Earth as well (the wi-fi would probably be better too).
There's a new UFCW21 union contract negotiation coming up. I'm worried about that more than I'm hopeful. It's always a gamble for us, and as with all gambling: the house always wins. So I'm curious what we're going to lose for newhires and gain for journeymen this year.
I am hoping to keep being able to pay my bills, but really it seems as though I'm just waiting for the other foot to drop; where any of my vital spots will be kicked out from under me and I'll fall hard (my job, my home, my bicycle, my free time, my backpack/wallet, health). The way things are going, even with next year's raise in minimum wage I don't know if it's going to help keep the bills paid.
As hard as I fought for it, I don't care about having more money, in a manner of speaking. I understand I have a low income profession and should not feel entitled to any great luxuries in life, but I at least want to be able to live off my own income. That's what's important to me. I'd rather have the world around me become more affordable than have my income go up along with all the prices.
Apart from these things, I could just as soon do without them. So I'm also not looking forward to 2016 at all, as much as I am.
Like, I want VR to come out big time, but I probably won't buy in to it. I want to see the light rail extend, but because it's not coming to my neighborhood I probably won't use it so much. I want the tunnel to be finished, but I don't want to drive through it. I want low income solutions, but I don't really want to move.
It seems my greatest anticipation is that my world will change in such a way that there is a place for me to be safe and comfortable.
And I'm waiting for it to come to me, since I won't go to it. Which is how it's going to have to work, or else it won't work, and I'm hoping it will all work out.
...
But I digress.
